Missing....One Tooth...If Found...Please Return!

Friday seemed like a day just like every other day. Then, when I got home something was missing in my beautiful smile! Mom and Dad said my smile was still beautiful...it was just missing a tooth! We aren't sure if it came out just because it was time or if it is related to me hitting my face when I had my first nose bleed. (That's a whole other story you can read about earlier in my blog!) My other tooth on the bottom is loose AND my top middle tooth is a little loose also. Mom is going to call my dentist tomorrow to see what might be up! But look...because I lost a tooth...The Tooth Fairy came to our house when I was sleeping! She left me a certificate and four quarters! How cool is that!

Go Fly A Kite!

Today my friend Ethan made a kite at preschool. Mom and I watched him flying it when he was leaving school so we decided to go fly a kite! The day was perfect...just enough wind to fly my kite but not enough to take me up in the air with it!

Yucky, Dirty, Wonderful Mud!

I've heard rumors that mud baths have numerous health benefits so decided to try it out this weekend. If something is made from water and dirt...two of my most favorite things...it MUST be good for you. Instead of paying some health spa alot of money for a mud bath, just stop by my house. I'll hook you up! After our mud bath, we'll go relax in the spring-like waterfall...also known as Mom's garden hose!

Stupid Seizures!

Since finding out I had Angelman Syndrome, we have been hoping and praying I never had seizures. But now...I do. The past couple of months have brought on seizures and they seem to be coming more and more often. Today I had my first seizure at school. I was so lucky that Miss Rita was there to catch me or else I would have hit my head on the sidewalk. My seizures are lasting only about five seconds but they are coming faster. It scares me when I have them. I know that it really scares Mom and Dad to. As much as we didn't want to, we decided to start seizure medicine today. I start off with just a half a dose for the first five nights and then start taking it every morning and night. Mom contacted one of the doctors in Boston who knows alot about Angelman Syndrome and seizures. They agreed with my neurologist at The Children's Hospital that keppra was a good medicine to start with. Now we are praying it makes the stupid seizures go away and that I don't have any side effects from the medicine. Please say a prayer for me when you read this.

My First Bloody Nose!

Well...it happened...got my first bloody nose! And it only seems right that it happened on the basketball court! I was messing around at basketball camp when Mom and I went to see Dad. There was a funny lady in the stands that I was pretending to do the wave with. Right in the middle of the greatest wave ever, I lost my balance and did a face plant on the floor. As if that wasn't enough, my body decided to do some crazy jerks that made my face hit the floor a few more times! Mom didn't know little girls could have that much blood coming out of their nose and mouth! I made sure I didn't get the basketball court dirty by burying my face in Mom's shirt. By the time we got to Urgent Care, Mom looked like she needed medical attention to! Mom and I made quite the entrance into Urgent Care...enough of an impact that the doctor came right out to the waiting room to check me out! After a check by the doctor and lots of x-rays of my head and face, things started to look up a bit! The nurses made me a blow up glove balloon with a silly face and stickers on it...that REALLY made things okay. Mom had to wake me up every few hours throughout the night to make sure I was okay. The next night we went back to basketball camp and I saw the lady who was doing the wave with me. She gave me a cool talking puzzle and a stuffed Thunderwolf. Next time I think I'll do the sit down part of the wave and leave the arm lifts and standing to everyone else!

Kim and Me

I have to give a special shout out to Kim! She is one of my all time favorite people. She works with my Dad and her little boy Nathan goes to preschool with me. Whenever I see Kim I just HAVE to scream and give her a big hug. Dad told Kim she can't babysit me though because she is such a push over!! Don't know what the problem is with that!

City Park Rides with My Classmates

In our town we have one of the best parks of all times...City Park. Besides having a zoo, it also has the rides. Each evening during the summer, the rides are opened and cost only 25 cents. My preschool celebrated the opening by getting together with our moms and dads at the rides. I love the rides that go around and around...except for the Merry Go Round...up/down/around/around...now that's a bit much!

Fun Times with Family!

Memorial Day weekend meant Mom and I hit the rode again. We drove over 650 miles to get to Grandma and Grandpa's to camp. I really wished we lived alot closer to my Grandma and Grandpa Parke, my cousins and aunts and uncles. They are the most awesome, loving and fun people ever. My cousins make sure I get to do all of the fun things they do. They are always thinking of ways for me to do things...and if it is to hard - they find a way to help me. We played a softball game, had a water fight, played bean bag, rode the mule, rode my trike, roasted marshmallows, went skateboarding and went to the park...and that's not all! I was so tired from the weekend that I took a two hour nap in the car ride home. If you know me...you KNOW that never happens!

My New Trike

I love my new trike! Last year I learned to ride a bike with training wheels but I still have to have someone right beside me in case I take a corner to sharp. With my trike, I can feel the wind in my curls without having Mom breathing down my neck! And...Mom said it can be adjusted so I'll be able to use it for a long time. The wheels are big so it even goes well on the dirt. The best thing about it is that I can give people rides...I even give Daddy rides down the sidewalk in front of our house! My preschool has these same trikes so I've had alot of time to practice riding. It is my all time favorite thing to do when we go outside on the playground. There is a track that circles all around the playground so I go around and around and around...then I go around again! Check out me giving my cousin Alyssa a ride!

Happy Graduation McKenzie!

My first big trip, Mom and I journeyed to Nebraska for my cousin Mikenzie's high school graduation. While there we got to watch her and Max in their track meet. I did a great job cheering for them to run. Also got to eat one of my favorite foods...a hotdog. I've gotten so good at eating hotdogs that Mom doesn't need to cut it up in small pieces...I get to hold it all by myself! After graduation ceremony, Lauren taught me how to spin and twirl when I dance. I'll share more about that later when Mom gets a video tape...words just can't describe it!

Catching Up...

Whew...Mom really is behind on helping me share with you my joyful journey! Finally decided enough is enough...no excuses Mom...fun and exciting things have been happening and I want to share with my family and friend! Mom and I have been doing ALOT of driving over the past month. We've driven over 3,000 miles! Talk about a journey! As long as I had a full belly and some toys...life on the road was good..for both Mom and me. But if one of those things wasn't in place...I made sure Mom knew about it!
