Bonding in the Bathroom!

I've been having a great time pretending to do all of the things I see grown-ups do. Dad made me my very own razor like his (but without the sharp parts) so he and I can shave together. I especially like the part where I get to put my razor underneath the running water. And just in case you were wondering...shaving cream does not taste as good as it looks!

Huge Hugs & Kisses to my Aunt Michelle!

I am so excited for this year's Angelman Syndrome Walk-a-Thon. My Aunt Michelle will be running in her first half marathon on May 4 in Nebraska. The really cool thing is that she will be running in honor of me and is working to raise money for the Angelman Syndrome Foundation. But wait...I haven't told you the best part of all!!! She and my cousins, Mason and Mikenzie, are going to Denver to come walk with Mom, Dad and me! I can't wait for Peanut's Peeps (that's the name of my walk-a-thon team)to hit the walking course. You can help Aunt Michelle and me raise money for the AS Foundation by clicking on the link to the right. This will take you to my fundraising page. It is really simple to give and it goes for a great cause! Just think how cool it would be if a cure for Angelman Syndrome is found and you could say "I helped that happen!"

My Blanket Still Rocks!

Two weeks now and I'm still lovin' my weighted blanket. Sleeping through the night is actually working out pretty good. This past week I've been fighting a cold so coughing sometimes has woken me up, but other than that...I'm saw'n logs the whole night through! A couple of times I didn't even need to cuddle with Mom to go to sleep...I think sometimes that's more of an adjustment for Mom than for me...but don't tell Mom I said so! Sweet dreams!

My New Special Blanket

Check out my new blanket. It is special because it is called a weighted blanket. It is a little bit heavy 'cause it has tiny weights in it. It was made by Miss Becky's mom who alot of people call "Grandma Lucy." Miss Becky is my Occupational Therapist. Mom ordered me the weighted blanket because Mom would like to sleep through a whole night without having to wake up! I guess in order for Mom to sleep through the night...I have to do it to...go figure! Ever since my blanket got here, I have loved it! Dad wanted to borrow it but I said 'no way man!' Mom might be on to something here...ever since I got my blanket, I have slept through the whole night! Last night was a little bit of a struggle to get to sleep...but, remember I told you I had ALOT of Easter candy!! So tonight we are going all out...I'm hoping to sleep ALL night long in MY bed and Mom is hoping to sleep ALL night long in HER bed! If all that works out as planned...we may have to have a party tomorrow morning!

Easter Snow!

I woke up this morning to a white Easter! The snow was beautiful...it made all of the trees, plants and grass white and fluffy...kind of like one giant Easter Bunny! The weather was perfect for making a snowman so Mom helped me out. I thought he was so cute I gave him a hug. Good thing though...he was all melted by lunch time! The Easter Bunny left some of his eggs outside. I found a couple but really wanted to play in the snow more than look for his eggs. Walking was much easier today so it was alot of fun to just run around finding patches of snow. It is been so warm here that some of our daffodils have bloomed. They always remind Mom of Angel Aunt Kristine. Mom let me pick a couple so I could smell them. Mom says it is time for me to go to sleep...she must not know how much Easter candy I had to eat today!

Just Checking In...

Dad has been out of town for a week so it's been just Mom and me. I've been being a big help around the house...helping to sweep the floor, wash the windows, fold the laundry! Whatever Mom does, I really try to do it the same way. If Mom sits on her knees to do something, I sit on my knees...if Mom makes a heavy sigh, I make a heavy sign...if Mom tosses something in the hamper, I toss something in the hamper. I figure if I do all that Mom knows "I got'r back" when it comes to keeping the house going while Dad is away! I've been working hard at preschool and home, learning how to retell the stories we are reading at school. So far the past couple of weeks I've been working on The Three Little Pigs and Goldilocks. Ms Doris, one of my teachers, says I get to be the wolf when we act them out on Friday at Circle Time. She says I make the best scary monster sound! Plus, I can say "I'll huff and I'll puff and I'll blow your house down" on my talker! Walking has been a hard again this week. My therapists say they've never met a kid like me who has so many ups and downs for this long...they say I hav'em stumped! Hopefully my new SMO's will come in next week. Maybe they will help my walking get better again. I would love to someday try out soccer or t-ball but really want my legs to feel better so I can show everyone how fast I am! Until next time...say a prayer for Daddy that he makes it home fast and safe tomorrow!

Thunderwolves are Champions!

Congratulations to the CSU-Pueblo Thunderwolves women's basketball team...2008 RMAC Champions! Mom and I went to the game tonight to cheer them on. I made sure everyone knew I was a Thunderwolf fan by wearing on my T-wolves tatoo! My friend Nathan was there and he had THREE tatoos on his face! J.J. Jumper was there. He gave me a new backpack and t-shirt. I just had to tell Mary good luck before the game. Mary is my all time favorite basketball player....and all time favorite babysitter! Dad didn't get to come to the game because he is in Arizona recruiting so next year I can cheer his team on in the championship game!
